Aistis historia

Ordet Aisti är finskt och betyder “sinnen”. Namnet symboliserar klinikens inriktning -veterinär neurologi. Aisti är ett familjeföretag som startades av Sigitas Cizinauskas och Riikka Timgren. Aisti invigdes på All Hjärtans Dag den 14 februari 2005. Aisti är beläget i Vanda, en stad precis utanför Helsingfors (10 km till Helsingfors centrum) samt nära motorvägen som går runt hela huvudstadsregionen (Helsingfors, Esbo och Vanda). Vandaa flygplats ligger ca 9 km från kliniken.

The word “Aisti” in Finnish means “sense”. The name therefore, reflects the clinics’ initial orientation - animal neurology. For the three first years since its foundation Aisti has been specializing in animal neurology, physiotherapy and acupuncture. Since March 2008 the other two sections were started: the policlinics (for general animal health) and the orthopedics. The neurology section is headed by Sigitas Cizinauskas, the head neurologist and Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN), acupuncture is run by Riikka Timgren (DVM, Cert. vet. Acup.), animal physiotherapy is run by Anna Boström (animal physiotherapist), the policlinic section is run by Jelena Kosareva (DVM) and orthopedical section is run by Mikael Morelius (DVM).
